Default exhaust fumes kill??? :)

Yeh ok today..i unhooked my exhaust right after the Y...after the cats...and the y..so the muffler doesn't muffle the sound i think it sounds badass for now when i don't wanna blow 500 on a system...

So my parent think im gonna die because the fumes will seep up in to the floorboard and kill me why im crusing...pretty much the Y...is after the seats of the car...the driver seat so how is this gonna happen...

anyone who has done this...died yet ...

If they died they wouldn't be posting here would they?
Sorry had to say it.

While hwy driving it wouldn't be bad because the airflow will push the fumes away. At idle or even low speed you will get some fumes (otherwise known as carbon monoxide) seeping into the cabin, which would be worse with the A/C on and windows up. I personally wouldn't risk it (know of two people who died from poisoning from extended idling in a car with closed windows) and risk getting a ticket for too loud exhaust.

Here's a link to some more info.

Funny you ask this today! When we blow insulation(don't wanna explain) I'm stuck in a enclosed horse trailer. This isn't bad at all, but today the 694cc engine decided it was ready for retirement. We still wanted to finish the job (lacked 30 min) so I stayed in there, but all I could see was black smoke billowing out of the doors when I looked from outside when taking a breather. I reeked of exhaust/burnt oil and was pretty dizzy...but I'm definately not dead.

Could you give your LS1TECH password to your parents? You know, so they can tell us when you die.

look, these nay-sayers opinions are purely speculation.
i did it for a year,
and my wife and i were driving over four hours a day on that damn car.
and she's a delicate little 103lbs normal human dirt-child.
if it didnt affect her,
i doubt it would affect an infant.

but then again,
this was before i tore out my backseats and alot of carpeting..
now theres a couple holes i can see the street with from inside the car.
so..
just leave your crap in and you'll be fine FOR AT LEAST A YEAR WITHOUT ADVERSE EFFECTS.
that should be sufficient time to save for a decent catback system.

Life has its risks, I wouldn't let the fumes impede my fun, although I am not a normal human dirt child either. My TTA could be bad at times (no cats and only ran 100 unleaded racing fuel), nothing to bad though. Keeping the cats on the Formula however.

While carbon monoxide can kill you, I doubt you will die from having your exhaust end at the Y-pipe. If anything, you will probably just smell the exhaust a bit more, and have a louder exhaust tone. Why don't you just get a cut-out? It's pretty cheap, and you can cap it when you want.

You won't die, unless you stick your car in your garage, close the garage door, roll down your windows, and stay in there with your car running for an hour or two.
