Broken ISKY 295D
Question.
Do you recommend I pull the heads to check for damage or just replace the springs ( I plan on Patriot dual golds with CStaub's locks ) ?
ISKY are dual springs; I haven't pulled the valve covers yet to see if I can see the brokn spring ( and if it's an internal spring, I won't see damage ).
Motor is a forged 346 with notched pistons, stock rods with ARP rod bolts.
11K on the new motor; I had planned on checking springs over the winter, looks like I should have checked sooner.

Another trick if you have any connections is to get a hold of an endoscope to pay the piston a visit via the plug hole.(That is why i like dating nurses
