Default 225's...

The 225's are tailor made for that application and more (meaning additional cam timing if making big HP #'s is your primary objective). The 225's will work extremely well on a higher output stock displacement engines. Much of the design work was utilizing a 3.900 bore as I knew many of you would opt to put these on stock shortblocks.

Richard (WCC)....thanks for that post on the previous page. It was very well written and everyone here at AFR values your input.

Also, while I'm on the subject of "thanking people", I also want to say thanks to J-Rod for starting this thread with a very professional and insightful post. It's much appreciated.

We are working hard at trying to get the 225 program finished up for you guys. There were some issues in August unrelated to the actual heads that slowed things down a bit, but we are back full steam ahead and the 225 is THE priority job now handed off to the Engineering department for digitizing and creating tool paths. Looking forward to bolting a set on my current combination with about ten degrees of additional cam timing and seeing what we got....Might have some numbers on that swap within the next 4 to 5 weeks, and with a little luck will start shipping them in that very same timeframe. I know I had promised you guys sooner, but it's very difficult to figure out just how long it takes to get a new product off the ground, not to mention those unforseen delays that always seem to creep up. Much like the 205's, we won't ship cylinder head #1 until the program is dialed in and meets all of our objectives. In 6 months, if you own a great product, you will have long forgotten about the delays.....in 6 months if you have a product that doesn't perform as well as you hoped, you will NEVER forget.

I will keep you guys posted on our progress...

Regards,
Tony M.
