Default Anyone running the Crane duals?

Like the title says. I just need to hear some success stories so I will
stop worrying. I just installed mine to replace my single springs, Manleys.

i've had them on the wife's car for about 4 months now. drives it everyday. also had the VHP/Crane 1.89 accelerated lift rocker kit installed at the same time. so, they are getting used pretty good.

will be adding VHP heads to her car in about 2 months. we will be doing a spring test to see if there is any drop in pressure. this will answer some questions out there about durability and longevity.

i also bought and installed them but i used the steel retainers instead. i really wanted the comp duals but they were way to expensive for my blood. so far, shifting out at 7K with a .605 lift cam, driveing to work 5 days a week, cruzing on the weekends (street racing sometimes), going out of town every now and then (with no overdrive, 3.73s, and 80 mph that equals 4,000 rpms the whole way) i have not experienced any problems yet.

That is some good news. If a TREX will go 10K on these springs that
would have to be the ultimate test. Good to see a few guys getting 10K out of the Cranes with fairly stout cams.

I have the trex with the cranes. I was told they should be good for at least 15k miles easy on these new designed cranes. We will see...

A friend of mine just broke his crane duals after 6k on only a .591 lift. After the fact people started saying he should have shimed to being the seat pressure up, and that valve float caused the spring to break. The car was always warmed up first - and since the car was being daily driven at the time, the spring broke at low - mid rpms.

I cycled mine 2 or 3 times when I first installed them, and I let the car warm up at least until the needle is past the first mark on the temp gauge.

Here is the post where Jason said the springs should last 20-25K minimum.......

My Buddies broke on a FMS cam as well...

EDIT: Nevermind... the smaller base circle has nothing to do with the spring seat pressure. Brain Fart.

So the Cranes are having problems too. Well that sucks! And seems like with low milage. At least they are duals and not singles like the Manley springs I replaced.
