So I thought my heads were stock, I ordered a set of new double valvesprings, retainers, seats, etc etc and went to put them on, and the valve stem is way too big for them.

Also, when I had my head off, the valves looked huge (there was a very small gap between intake and exhaust valves).

Anyone got a picture of the bottom of a stock 98 head?

How in the world should we answer that??

All i can say is measure them with a micro, get parts that fit your measurements.

there is no way to tell without some measurements. so far all we know is that there bigger unless you have the wrong parts. SBCs use bigger valves and i think back in the day before aftermarket valves were out for LS1s people were machineing the guides to use those. so you might have an old model ported head from someone. you never know.
