Looking for a Setup that will be able to run 11.5 or give or take 3 tenths on motor. then maybee sometime down the road spray my way into the 10s

 

Are you looking for the stock motor with just different heads/cam or replacing the motor and stroking or boring it?

you can run mid 11's with cam only if you have the right setup.

by the right setup, you need all bolt ons, including tb, pulley, headers exhuast/ypipe or true duals, and a solid suspension with traction. traction will be your biggest foe.

 

Good question. Also what car are you using this for? That may or may not make a difference tech wise...

 

my 98 z28. Im not shure if i wana use stock short block or stroker. how hard whould it be to get 11.5s outa a stock short block. ... also whould it handle enought spray to get me in the 10s

 

auto or manual trans.? with a good set of our 5.3L Stage 2 heads and a FFHP Annihilator cam we went consistent 11.4's at 120mph.

 

AUTO what rear gears where u runing

 

you will be fine, specially with an auto. just get good tires, do a good heads/cam/nitrous setup and you will be high 10's if you spray 100-150 shot.
