Default Pulling motor?

I have a 98 ss that I have to pull the motor out of. My question is is it easier to pull it from the top or from the bottom? I am doing this in my garage so a lift is out of the question. Thanks guys

I do them all the time out the bottom with an engine hoist. I'll post some picks 1.5 hours and it was completely out and another 30 minutes and it was down to the short block with no accessories in the way. The only special tools are the engine hoist (Rent one if need be.) and a couple of drive on ramp for the rear tires and some kind of rollaround cart I made mine from a Depot cart. You don't need the cart but it makes life easier. I have used two jacks but very hard to manuver out from under the car.
