SLP Cylinder-Head-and-Cam Package?

SLP Cylinder-Head-and-Cam Package? The SLP Cylinder-Head-and-Cam Package 1997-04 LS6 500 HP sounds like a pretty good deal and for someone who doesn't have to worry about smog I don't have to breaking any laws buy putting it on my car. But is it worth it, are there better deals/options?

I'm looking for about 450-500rwhp, don't know if that's asking too much becasue I want to stay N/A and below $4500 would be nice. Idle quality isn't that much of a concern and like I said before it's going to be in a 69 so smog is not a concern either; Bring on the huge cam!
you can get those numbers out of a 346 but you start pushing your powerband peakier and peakier with the bigger duration cams needed to achieve those numbers. what RPM range are you looking at?

I'm aware that the higher my hp get the less I will make at lower rpm, with a huge cam; but I see it as a give take realtionship if the cam doesn't make power until 5000rpm but when it get there it makes a crap load of it I'll think about it. This is not a daily driver. I'm just trying to gauge wether i'll need to convert to solid lifters and what not. I know I'll have to do a major overhaul on rods springs and rockers with a high lift cam. I just wanna get an idea of what kinda power a head and cam combo can make.
Edit: I'd also like to know what kind of compression would have with these new ported heads ( on a stock bottom end).
