Coolant not going into block....
Coolant not going into block.... Ok, here is the deal. I had to remove my driver's side cylinder head off because one of the spark plug holes was stripped and I couldn't thread a spark plug in. So, I had to install a heli coil kit.
Now, I put my engine back together last weekend, and tonight I made some last sensor connections just before firing it up for the first time. When I fired it up, I noticed that the engine started giving out that overheating smell so I quickly turned it off. Then, I noticed that the coolant was being accumalated right at the big hose that connects to the thermostat. The hose was actually expanding due to the accumalation of the coolant.
Is this the thermostat staying close??? Or, does anybody know what I could have possibly done wrong???
I really haven't troubleshooted the problem since it was getting late and I had very little light.

thats ****** weird. i'd definitely check out the thermostat. haven't ever had one stick on me before.
