New Main Bolts or Studs?
New Main Bolts or Studs? I am having my short block put back together and was wondering if I need to get new main bolts? In other words, are they torque to yield??? What about main studs? Worth the money?
I'm using the stock crank, rods, and pistons (although they are flycut)... all new clevite h-series bearings, moly rings, etc. Installing the TSP 231/237 cam with a set of stage II heads milled .030. I was right at 400 RWHP before with my stage 1.5 heads and a 224/230 cam so I'm hoping for closer to 450 RWHP now. Would it be a wise investment, or overkill?
