Default What cam is right for me

hey guys just joined ls1tech cuz i was wanting some opinions on a cam for me. i have a 99 m6 TA i drive a 46 mile round trip to work im gonna do longtubes and put my stock exhaust and cutout back on, i want something that will sound good give good power and idle decent and not kill my driveability....a couple of my choices were the TR220 112lsa and the lunati 221 112lsa what do you guys think is the right cam for me, i will be gettin ls1edit but it will be months after the cam is in, how will it do with stock rev limiter and will i gain a lot with the ls1edit and tuning with it, thanks for the opinions guys, Kurt

Both are proven cams. The power is there w/the obligatory bolt ons. I'm running a baby T1 and am making 416/405 through a Moser 12 bolt and slicks w/a good tune( Futral Motorsports).

Idles well, (will throw a PO300 before tune)and has a nice chop to it. Driveability is fine, but naturally, you'll see better manners and more power w/a competent tune. Raise the limiter to 6800

If you are concerned about the idle quality a TR220 114 lsa would be better.

I'm running a 222/222 .560 114

Through the SLP dual/dual exhaust it sounds stock, very very little lope. Through the cutout it sounds AWESOME

The MTI B1 221/221 .56x 114 is just about the same cam as well.

Since yours is a daily driver make sure you get something with lower lift so its easy on your valvetrain, the low lift cams still perform and make great power, just look at mine
