Default ? About Balancing Rotating Assembly

When i got to get my rotating assembly balanced to I need to remove the timing chaing gear off the end of the crank?

I would think that it has to stay on since the key and gear it self is attached to crank in one position and could affect the balance when put back on if it was removed...

When going to get the balance job done, you need the crank, rods, pistons, bearings, rings, timing gear, balancer, flexplate/flywheel, and according bolts. Most shops charge around $175.

If the same shop that is balancing you assembly they probably will not need it. But if it is not they will atleast want to double check it.
