i want to buy a new cam for my 2000 ls1! i dont know which one to get and i want something with a lopey idle (mean sounding). what is the biggest and best cam i can run on a stock motor? also with large cams, whate size is it when you need to start doing other mods to accept it? sorry for so many questions its just i dont want to make a bad decision. thanks in advanced...

 

also, sorry but i was wondering when i put a bigger cam then i need to have it tuned? dyno tuned or just tuned? thanks again...

 

Man thats not really something someone can answer. "too big" of a cam is an opinion. There is plenty of information about cams on this web site, try doing a search. I do not see any mods listed in your sig. My first mod would not be a cam. I would start with the exaust.
