If its not a "nitrous" motor your putting together, and your not hitting it with alot more than a 100 shot or 150, to hell with a "nitrous" cam. Make the power on the motor.

yea, it will never see over 150 shot. The car is for the H/C classes. I run a little spray for local "street car shootouts". My main concern is the NA performance, I don't want to make a compromise there.

Also, I understand what you guys are saying about the upper RPM power of the X-er lobes. They make great midrange, but I have yet to see a huge upper end and peak number by one of those cams.

just cant control the valves at high rpm. Im pretty sure the .006 duration on Jason99ta cam hes turning 7400 with is more then 286 degrees (which would roughly be where an XE-R lobe is at 236 dur.)

Im looking to see how a particular set of lobes will cross over, should be easier openign closign but same middle as XE-R.

Your cam will peak pretty high. I think you would come closer to your target with a 232/236 113 with no advance.

Why is your LCA and ICL changing for .006 and .200?

I copied and pasted the wrong fields, I'll go back and fix that in the original post.
Thanks

Your valve events are interesting especially EVO.

One thing we NEED to know is your intake port volume in cc's. I think a 242/242 on 108/108 would work a little better on your setup depending on port volume and head flow through the intake

Chris, your cam idea should make tons of power, but I think it violates his criteria #1:
1. Better idle (less overlap)

His plan appears to be to target around 10* overlap at .05. Your cam has 26*

I'm shooting for around 10* of overlap, due to the idle requirement.

Also, Chris, I listed the intake and exhaust runner volume of my heads in my third or so post.

Runner volume on the heads are about 217cc intake and 80cc exhaust.
