Default Custom Ground TSP cam

I am thinking of getting a custom ground cam from TSP. The numon it are 225/225, .589/.589 at .50 112 LSA. does anyone have this cam or something close. How does it sound and idle and what power does it make. TSP claims 390+ rwhp with bolt-ons and stock heads.

That cam is very similar to a 224/224 112 .580 cam which is very popular and produces good results. It will make good power and have a lopey idle @ 750 - 800 rpm. 900 rpm will make it sound almost stock. the cam is used in a lot of daily drivers.

Cars dyno differently, especially A4s, so I would never guarantee a HP result. You can expect a 20 - 30 rwhp gain with that cam depending upon your mods, tuning, and car.

I'm running the same cam that is sold by PRC. I love it, great daily driver cam with a slightly rough idle.

If you have all of the regular bolt-ons in place (i.e. long tube headers, off-road y-pipe, induction, etc.) I would expect the cam to pick up a solid 35+ RWHP. It's a fantastic camshaft for what I'd consider a nice all-around street/strip camshaft. I agree that with a 900 RPM idle you'll barely be able to hear it.

Feel free to call or e-mail me at trevor@texas-speed.com if you have any other questions.
