Default Harland Sharp Performance Loss Question

I am seeing alot of talk about how the harland sharp rockers are heavy over the spring and valve cuasing valve float situations. Is this valid?

Also, I have been having a problem that is driving me nuts. In the lower gears when I go wot I seem to have a stumbling problem for a little while and then it goes away and the car continues to pull hard. Why is this? It has only showed up since the addition of 4.56 gears. Is this because my motor is winding up so quickly that I am floating valves, springs, and or lifters. It only seems to happen in first gear to second gear shift and second to third. It never really happens when I shift into 4th. I don't understand.

Sometimes the problem happens in first gear without even shifting hard. This isn't a reversion issue caused by a maf sensor is it?

Timing chain? If it was this I would think that I would have caused damage that would show up in part throttle and 4th gear wot runs also but it doesn't.

I installed my Harland Sharp 1.8s two weeks ago and I get a good amount of valve foat at the top of second and third (A4). It is also worse from a roll, the car will stumble quick, pop alittle then the power will come back and sometimes it will float them again just before the shift. I'm putting in some 918s this week along with some hardened pushrods too so hopefully that will solve the problem.

BTW: I have read of other people that where in the same boat.

I avoid anything but 1.7's at all cost

I'd really like to see a roller-tip rocker that doesn't have these issues, but to build a tip w/o the extra weight over the valve would require some very nifty engineering or expensive materiels. Either way it'd make for a hefty price tag LOL. I liked the look of the YT 1.7s I had, but had to sell them since cam swap got put on hold, and needed money for other mods.

Should I try to lighten them or just send my stockers back and have them rebuilt.

i was told by LG that i would lose power if i switched to the comp pro mag rockers. they claimed that the best choice was the stock rocker. i have also heard this from several other vendors. it's my opinion that the stock rockers are perfectly fine.
