LS6 heads have D shaped exhaust ports and LS1's have round ports for one thing.

241 and 853 and one more are ls1 heads
243 heads are LS6.
317 are PP ls6 style heads. They look the same but are not. Also i have seen heads from heads porting acompanys that can make the O port look like a D port.

Yess. Look on the driver side at the front of the head behind the power stearing pump. I will try and post a pic.
