Default Bore difference on 6.0L v. 5.7L?

What is the bore and stroke on the 6.0L and the 5.7L? Assuming the 6.0L head has a larger bore than the 5.7L... If using 6.0L heads on a 346, would the larger bore cause any problems with power? Any negative effects? A lot of us FI guys use 6.0L head to lower CR. But I'm being told that the larger bore could cause a problem. Just looking for any insite as I've never had issue, nor have I heard about any problems.

Thanks,
Mike

6.0 has a 4" bore
5.7 has a 3.90 bore (3.898 exact)

stroke is the same 3.62, and rod length is also the same 6.098. a cylinder head does nt have a "bore" only the combustion chamber volume is slightly larger with the 6.0. the quench area is flat and matches up just like the 5.7 head.

IMD, I understood completely what you meant. I wasn't trying to imply that i thought the 6.0L head had a bore. Just as you said I was curious how the mating of the 6.0L head and the 5.7L block would work. Could you explain quench area? I've heard the term before and think I know what it means, but would probably benefit from a better explanation.

So are you saying the 6.0L head will mate to the 5.7L block the exact same way as the 5.7L head would? No lip or anything?

Thanks for your help,
Mike

Bingo You Got It. yes a 6.0 head will mate to a 5.7 it will lower the compression a little i heard cause for the bigger chambers but i heard they are good for turboing and supercharging but if you want horsepower go with the ls6 heads.
