Default twisted piston= cracked block!

i have had an issue with my car locking up and pulled the motor out and when i got it out i pulled the heads of and looked at the heads and valves and they were all good from what i could see and looked and the 2nd piston on the drivers side and it is sideways in the block, i could barely see the top of it, and could see the rings around the piston, and the sleeve was cracked about 3/8 in wide gap and 2 other cracks in it also.. what could that be caused from just driving down the road from a red light at about 3500 rpms?? and motor only has a most of 2,500 miles on it also at the most becuase i put it in my car at the end of march-begin of april and didnt drive it for a while cause it was to hott ...

just wondering what could cause that?? any thoughts or stories about this?? thanks for the help, ill try and post pics up tomm..

Did it look like this. Sounds like you hads some detionation or the crack was already there and that piston when into hydro lock. The pic i posted ran lean and had some detonation 17psi and a wet 125 will do that if your fuel noid shuts down.

i dont want to say who built it yet becuase i wanna see how they handle it and everything about the warranty and maybe it was just one of their mistakes and hopefully if it is, they will fix it for me..

well, i havent ran any nitrous or anything in that motor and there was some metal chuncks on the plastic peices that hold the lifters in place, ill try and post the pics for ya
