Z06 cam overlap
I think you'll love this cam. It pulls hard from 2K up - with LOTS of low end power over stock. I don't like to rev over 6K, so I can't tell you about what it's like up there. From the dyno on their site, it looks like it'll pull well to 6,500.
I'm still using mine on stock manifolds and converter.
Here's mine at idle.
The thing sounds nice and healthy throughout the 2-6K 'powerband'. Here's a half throttle roll-on to 60mph. Don't laugh, f-body guys - imagine towing 2,000+lbs behind your cars with 80lb wheels at each corner.
The video is bad, just use it for the audio. I pickup my car yesterday for Speed inc.. Well what i change. The car only pickup 30 RWhp and 25 rdtq at peak. I would haven thought/wanted 40, but she feels real strong!!!
It's lifted torque 25-35 ft pound threw the entire power range and lifted power 15-40 rwhp over the power range. You can feel a slight increase in torque at 2K and then from there everything has changed... It was wet here yesterday, so i could not get her to 5.5 or 6K, but today might be a another story....
Idle is abit more agressive, but not much, will little change in idle quality. There is a very, very, very slight lobe to it, once hot and idleing for a while-But not an issue at this time.
Will have more to report later.
Thanks for all the feedback to date...
The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time
About all I can claim is that with the few mods I have (some add weight, like dual exhaust, underseat tool-box, and sway bars), that the cam helped push my truck at full street weight and 20 gallons of gas to 14.5 at 92.
I've got to get it weighed, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's north of 5500lbs.
I did do the rockers...
I don't think they did anything except increase a very slight lope at idle..
Marc W. 14.5 sec 1/4 mile for a 5500 pound truck is impressive..
I ran the car today to 6K.. it felt very strong. At 4200-4400k rpm it seems to pickup faster onword to 6K..
Car can now rotate the tail on deman in 1,2,3 gears and a slight pull shifting into 4th..
Overall very nice, but I really thought i'd get a bit more torque.. 405rwtq is great, but all indication were- i could see at least 420-425tq...
On another note, what kind of a/f ratio's are you running. mine is a safe-steady 13.-13.2 from 3.3k to readline... If i lean things out a bit, might this increase tq/hp???
I would say this is just right. Too lean and you'll run into KR that will make your truck inconsistant depending on the weather.

Don't focus on peak horsepower/torque gains. Appreciate the average power gained throughout the usable rpm range. Sounds like a great street cam. Congrats! Time to take it to the track, have some fun, and get pleasantly surprised with some great times!
I know the numbers could have improved with my launch tech.
Now I'm sure it should run very low 12.??... with Drag radial's I'm in 11.?? teritory..
Marc W, 14.5 with a 5500 pound truch is very fast.. Congrates..
Mrr, I'll give Joe V. a call monday for follow-up....
p.s. first time I've been able to smoke the tires with my wife on board... I so mean lot's of smoke!!!!!!.
