Oil pressure issues.......help

Oil pressure issues.......help A buddy of mine that I open road race with contacted me today and said the oil pressure is acting funny in his 02 C5. car has almost 30K on the clock.
Cold start: 34lbs
Running @ 100 degrees engine temp: 25lbs
2K rpm 22-23lbs
heavy throttle it drops about 1lb.
The low oil pressure light also comes on on cold starts and while running and if he nails it.
This car also has a Doug Rippie engine oil cooler with steel braided lines. He said he might have been concerned with one of the line collapsing. I personally dont think this is the problem. to me everything is pointing to the oil pump itself.
And yes, the oil level is fine.
Any input would be appreciated.
