(sorry to break in on your post)
i've seen them install wrong and the motor go out...... they wouldn't help the guy out.

also have seen them put a tranny in and the oil pan bolts were ALLLLL stripped.... have seen someone have them do a H/C combo and it only ran 13.2 with slicks!

go down to HPFACTORY in Springfield IL to have it done. they don't have the best shop in the world but they know there **** when it comes to ls1's and lt1's. one of the owners has modified his since 98 when he bought it. the other owner owns a 2000 firehawk that ran 10.6 on stock suspension, full weight.

call 217-523-DYNO from 12 to 8pm. be sure and tell em chappy sent you

I really can't say anything negative about Speed Inc but I also can't say that I've heard much positive.

Try Billingsley Racing in Decatur, IL. for an install, he knows enough about these cars to make them go very fast. I was just chit chatting with Jay & Brian about chassis stuff today, he's setting me up with the rest of my "Race-car" suspension. I can't say enough good about them. Also there is no debate that he does work on cars correctly.

I"d go to Allan Futral, as he works with Cam Motion and he's producing top HP numbers. He"s a nice guy to work with you on your set-up!!

I agree with Mustang eater.

FTI,
and if that couldn't work out for some reason, I'd go to Alan at FMS.

Spoke to a number of folks about heads and cams. Allan Futral was the only one that would not give an opinion until he had all the details of the car and application. I do mean everything
thats something you won't hear from alot

See, I think I speak for both of us when I say that we will be doing the installs ourselves. I don't have the money to be paying a shop to do it for me. I'd rather spend that money on going faster, thankyouverymuch. So we're looking for someone who will sell a custom cam that is specifically designed for our application that will provide better performance than a shelf cam.

I've heard a few good suggestions so far; I'm just trying to make sure everyone is on the same page here.

Futral. End of story. Great people to work with. Only tuner I know that can make their big *** cams idle just as good as the smaller 224 cams. You wont be sorry

There are many shops that sell cams. Everyone knows that.

I have not seen nearly as many get the important details like cylinder head flow with the intake in place, etc... But there are a few who ask the right questions.

Ed Curtis from FTI
Chris Straub from Stef's
Brian Ebert from Hi-Tech
Dema Elgin from Elgin
Steve Lowe from LSM
Alan Futral from FMS
Erik Koenig from HPE
