Default Oil pressure and O-Ring question

My new LS1 with only 5k miles on it was giving me shitty oil pressure, so I went and checked out the o-ring, as I figured it had been damaged. My friend said when he found it, it looked like it might be a little collapsed. He has visually inspected it since, and he says it looks great. My question is, if it looks ok, should it be ok? I mean, it's rounded with no cuts, cracks, or flattened ends.

I am getting 50 psi cold right now, and haven't let it run warm yet. Does this sound like enough? Are there any other thigns I can do to get somemore oil pressure, just for insurance? Thanks for the help!

Yeah, it's not bad. My car is usually about 60 when cold 45 when warm.

Also probably depends alot on what type of oil you are using. Might gain some pressure by changing oils.

30 psi hot is ok, although 40-45 psi is more commonplace.

Commonplace. So how would I get mine more commonplace? I want to be right there in the average.

Not sure (car is 450 miles away).... completely warm, at maybe 800 rpm idle (or whatever is normal), with Mobile 1 10W-30. What can I do to increase this number?
