Multiple Part Numbers....which one?

Multiple Part Numbers....which one? I've noticed in searching through the posts that I've come across at least 4 different part numbers for the oil galley plugs.

I'm sure they happen to be for different model years, but are they really different? Will one not be interchangable with the other? My old block was from a '99, but I have a new LS1 block for my motor build up. Which should I use? If it does matter what year block I have, is there a way to tell from a part number etc on the block what year I have?
Also is the front and back oil galley plugs different?
