Default Power Steering Cap

i was wondering every once in a while when i open my hood i notice sometimes a liquid around the power steering cap its not thick like i was poured there but like it was there and the heat made it evaporate. could by power steering cap be bad or something. if this is in the wrong section sorry, didn't know where to put it.

Mine used to do that, I think its fairly common, especially in cars that dont come with the power steering cooler...my opinion is that the power steering fluid just gets too hot. When I changed to an ASP pulley mine stopped doing that (slowed the power steering pump down).

Mine does it as well, and I have to add fluid about every 10 months or so!! I have been meaning to replace it, but it is one of those things I keep forgeting to do while at the dealer!!

I priced it at the dealer and it was like 16 bucks or so. I need to go in there and use my extended warrenty on it.
