I didn't want to mess with the tranny side yet. I am thinking of going with th vig 2800 2.5 str. I like my gearing due to lot's of highway traveling and like the mpg. I also checked with combination and he went with the 114 Lsa indstead due to having an A4. I will hopefully have H/C installed begging of next week and was hoping to get into the 12's. Track opens up 25 Jan in Vegas. <img border="0" alt="[driving]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_driving3.gif" />

What kind of gain will I be looking at? The cam is from Comp cam 220XR1 220/218@.050 .530/.527 112 LSA and stage 2 heads. I went with a mild cam due to being a daily driver. Will this get me into the mid to high 12's in 1/4. I ran 13.6 @103.8 mph with 1,100 miles on it a with the mods in my sig. Will I need to raise idle and also what about the rev limiter? TIA

Did you get any flow readings on those heads?
Your cam (& any decent set of heads) should get you there --- it's very close to a T1. Your valvetrain should be nice & quiet, too.

Hmm...rev limiter should be set to 6200 RPM. You should be able to get in the mid 12's with tuning.
Can I ask why you didn't go the usual 'torque converter, gears, mid/long tube headers' route before getting heads/cam ?
