Default Keep X1 cam or switch to ?????

My plans for a 408 got shot down for now. I get to put a LSX90mm and 90TB, kooks 1 7/8 headers for now. My sig shows what I have. While I`m getting this done I was thinking of going with a new cam. I have the X1 from MTI 230 227 .591 .571 112 lobe and I spray it. Planning to go up to a 150 shot with the new tune and set-up. What do you guys recommend for me. Look at my sig for all my mods! I have S2 heads and all. Thanks!!

R1 232 236 .575 .578 114
Z1 236 236 .585 .585 112
S1 244 244 .612 .612 112

If sprayed then go R1, if N/A then go S1

Edited:
OOOPs, I thought you were talking about a cam for a 408, my bad.

You're kinda in the same boat as me (for the bigger cubes etc.) so I figured I'd go ***** out with the H/C setup for now and throw streetability out the window, the car is a toy anyway. I'd go with a T-Rex or similar cam, flycut the pistons, put in a Walbro 340 intank fuel pump (that inline T-Rex I don't think will be up to the task) and then spray it. I'd pass on the Kooks 1 7/8ths headers on a H/C car. You will lose velocity. Save those for the stroker when you get it.

That H/C setup on a 150 probably won't last forever, maybe not too long if you spray A LOT, so when it breaks you'll have an excuse to build the Iron block.

I`ll call you Wens morning Dav when I get in for work.

BLKTA my best time N/A in the 1/8 is 7.6 at 97-98mph. That was with a 1.69 60ft and spinning on E/T streets. The first gear in a A4 with 3.73 is really low. My stall is only a 3200-not very good N/A. To low for just motor!! Might get my restall when she is at MTI 3600-3800rpm`s. I will let Dave and Jayson let me know whats best. Also my race weight at that time was 3800lbs with me. I weigh 224 and I`m not fat at all! I do also plan QA1 all the way around also!!

I`ve had my car built for almost 2 years and I`ve only sprayed 6 bottles there her. So I hope a 150 shot will last 2 years!!
