Default Difference between at 402ci and 408ci?

What are the differences in spec's between the two motors? Crank, rods, pistons, bore?

I suppose I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure the bore is the only difference.

Generally bore is the only difference. Between 4.000" bore & 4.030" bore, that's what the difference is between the two.

Speaking of which Chris, what's the biggest bore you can safely do on an Iron block? Can you do a 4.060?

Block needs to be sonic checked to make sure, and I think most 6.0l blocks are too thin to safely go .060, I think that .040 is generally accepted as the maximum "safe" overbore. IMO, stick with the least overbore that you can (.010 or .020), makes the block stronger, allows for future rebuilds (if necessary), and there is probably no measureable power differencs between a 402 and a 408.
