Yep, just fired her up for the first time tonight!

Rebuilt the entire block, new bearings, rod bolts, etc. TSP 231/237 and some stage II heads... sounded MEAN!

Got a small coolant leak, but I'll take care of that tomorrow, then it's time to put some miles on her and get her broke in.

Thanks to all of you guys that helped with my questions over the past month or so, I REALLY appreciate it!

Definitely cool man. Get some sound clips of her posted!! I may have some questions for ya, I'm lookin into doin the same thing to mine next spring. Congrats that it went smoothly for the most part. Have fun breakin her in, can't wait to her some times!!

It is a great feeling to know that I built it, and it works.

Now for this pesky coolant leak... coming from behind the water pump (the center bell housing looking pully). I used new gaskets, is there anywhere else it could be leaking from? I'll be pulling the water pump off today to check it out.

You may want to also check the throttle body heat tubes...they're the small pipes sticking out left and right from bottom of the tb.
