Christmas and my birthday are coming up my paretns and my girlfriend want to get me something nice for my car. I was thinking cam setup. Should I get the cam and everything i need for it or get the cam everything i need for it save up some more get the heads and headers. For the cam setup whats the best cam and the what price am i looking at for everything I need. Ive never done any internal work so if someone can lsit everything I need "thats the best" id appreciate it.

My car is a true daily driver all year round, and a manual 6 speed with a corsa exhaust.

well "do a search" and you'll find many varying opinions. try jrp's cam guide. it helps. if you don't have full(or most) bolt ons, i dunno why you're gonna install a cam. an engine works as a system, and it needs to be upgraded likewise.

Yeah, you need to make sure you have most of the important boltons- lid, ls6 intake, LT's, catback. The long tubes are pretty much a must if you want to see good gains from a cam. The stock manifolds would really choke the engine when it tries to move all the extra air that a bigger cam provides.

if they're gonna get you something get some kooks long tube headers or something like that. you won't regret it
