Like I said earlier, there are alot more variables to the equation. .610 lift is not going to equal a certain amount of clearence. Duration, LSA, and advance change where the valve will be in relation to where your piston is on the upstroke. So, the same cam with the same lift and duration but one is 112+4 the other 114+2, the 112+4 will have less clearence. Not to mention if your going off a thunder cam, you can't compare it to another cam because of diffrent lobe types. There is alot more to it than the .050 numbers. PDD, do like me and the other guys are saying and just check it for yourself. It's the only real way to go unless you know your cam's max valve drop.

sorry, i just figured he was looking at "should i look at cutting the pistons or not"

personally, myself and my fellow car ppl have all done the clay check with no HG in it (keeps it the most accurate)

That's usaully the best. This way you have a little extra clearence when your done.
