Default Need a cam with more lope??

I need some help finding a cam with more lope and not haveing to retune the car. I have the 224/224 114 now.Have any of you guys done this?

Any time you mess with the cam it is always best to re-tune. If you like the power your cam has now, consider spliting the duration to a 224/228 and drop the LSA to a 112. The lower the LSA you go, 112,110,108, etc... The more lope you will get. The lower the LSA also means less driveability in most cases.

Yep... if you're idling around 800-850, try dropping the idle to 650-700 and see if you like that.

Otherwise if you want a cam with more lope, get something around the 230+ range for duration with a 112 lsa.

A 224/224 112 will give more lope w/o needing much tuning. Also don't lower your idle too much, I have heard it will eat gas if it's too low. Mine is about 700-750 right now.
