Ls6 questions..

Ls6 questions.. I just bought a 02 EB z06. I have a problem. I bought the car with 12k miles. It is totally stock. I keep hearing a knock or ping coming from the engine at mid rpm levels. I am thinking that this might be from the shitty gas that the dealers put in the car while they are there. I am curiuos do the ls6's need to have only 93 or what? I think its detonation, has anyone had this problem?

First i would take it easy on the car till it's got the shity gas out of it, and fill it up with some high quality premium. Second i would look at getting the car tuned, especially if the problem persists after you run some good gas through her. And yes, these high compression engines need premium.
