Default H & C timing question....

I have talked to a few big engine builders the last couple of weeks trying to find an answer to a question. I know optimal timing will be determined with each setup and every car may like different timing. Why do the H & C LS1s run so little timing compared to other engines? I have had at least 5 engine builders say that a built LS1 should run 34-38 degrees of total timing not 28-30.

ls1 motors like less timing due to their cylinder head design, they have a more efficent combustion chamber than the lt1 or sbc motors.mine likes around 27 degrees.i've seen some on here say they run best at 30 or so.like stated before,it depends on the combination of parts.
