Default Which Heads?

Ok, just picked up my TR224/114

Also looking at getting heads from Absolute. But which ones?

I don't plan on getting headers unless they are smog legal.

So would Stage 2 be worth it??

I have decided on either Stage II or Stage II 5.3L heads. Any suggestions?

The problem comes in that you are from California and i believe you only have 91 octane from the pump so you dont want to run to much compression. But if you just leave the 5.3s the way they are and dont get them milled you will be ok. Ported the 5.7 and 5.3 heads flow the same so why not get the 5.3s for that last little grasp of horsepower.

I have these from Absolute Speed and believe it or not I can run 89 Octane and not get detonation.. at least noticeable.

I just got my TEA 5.3L heads yesterday, and although it'll be a few months before I install them, the fit and finish is pretty damn impressive to say the least. Brian and Brent really know their stuff. Excellent customer service as well.
