Need Help ASAP
Okay I finally got my AS Stage II 6.0L heads.They are milled .30 and I am running a 224 .563 cam.Jay told me a could use the stock PR length.Well the shop doing the install tells me that when the rockers are on the valves dont close all the way and I need to shim the rockers.Any one know how much of a shim I need.The shop is telling me its a good 1/8 of a inch.Please help ASAP Thanks

They should be able to use a simple adjustable pushrod tool to determine the amount of shim required through a few simple calculations.
Do it the correct way and get the right length pushrods.
There's no way for anyone on this board to give you a correct answer regarding the length b/c we can't measure application. Any competent shop should be able to do this. If not, I'd suggest taking it elsewhere.
Also, the shop does realize that most of the valves will either be open or closed depending on the location the pushrods are occupying on the cam lobes?
Are they saying that the valves never fully seat throughout the rotation of the camshaft's 360 degrees?
