Bad gas symptoms?
Not farting....
What are the signs of bad gas? Obviously KR if low octane. My car is now very sluggish at low PT and take-off. I really have to try and drive around the clutch chatter now. My logs show small KR at WOT and idle LTrims are now about 10%, whereas before they were at 0%. Should I treat the gas (full tank ) w/ octane booster? Fuel additive/stabilizer?
Oh ya, I GOT THIS SICK GAS FROM BRITISH PETROLEUM...I assumed it was Amoco repackaged...uh...I WILL NEVER BY THIS **** AGAIN ..... I guess no track tonight....
BP

Re: Bad gas symptoms?
If I'm not mistaken, amoco = BP now... and BP = beyond petroleum... formerly british petroleum... anyway, that's all I use 93 octane of course. Have you confirmed it's a gas problem?

Re: Bad gas symptoms?
Hey John, good seeing you the other nite at RMS's new shop/dyno. Even though you came in a FORD .... Your buds' Lightning was my idea of a truck...Chevy or Ford. Anyhoo, thanks for the race gas idea.... may drive out there tonite anyway to get some gas and watch.....and learn.
How much should I try to get in....it is full now.
Btw, am I descibing your experience w/ bad gas? What really sucks is I put the gas in just before my dyno time.....uh....waste of time...
I was getting 411/400 w/ KR. So hopefully w/ good gas...415/405.
Would NX octane booster work as well as the race gas? I could put that in now and not have to run the tank down.
Randy
