Default When is it a good idea to reseat the valves?

I am researching getting ported heads for my car, and have an offer for a set of Stage 2 ported LS1 heads with 2.02/1.57 valves but using the stock seats.

At what point do you want the valves to be reseated? Thanks in advance!

The only time I've seen them replaced is if there has been damage (like something getting lodged between a valve and the seat, or when installing larger valves (the stock seats can accomodate 2.02"/1.57" valves).

I don't believe there is any reason to change them, otherwise...

Okay, thanks. The only reason I was concerned is that I see alot of the people who port the LS1 heads like to reseat the valves, and the particular heads I was looking at had larger valves but the stock seats and just wanted to make sure there wasnt anything to worry about. Thanks again.
