When is it a good idea to reseat the valves?

When is it a good idea to reseat the valves? I am researching getting ported heads for my car, and have an offer for a set of Stage 2 ported LS1 heads with 2.02/1.57 valves but using the stock seats.
At what point do you want the valves to be reseated? Thanks in advance!

Re: When is it a good idea to reseat the valves? The only time I've seen them replaced is if there has been damage (like something getting lodged between a valve and the seat, or when installing larger valves (the stock seats can accomodate 2.02"/1.57" valves).

The only reason I was concerned is that I see alot of the people who port the LS1 heads like to reseat the valves, and the particular heads I was looking at had larger valves but the stock seats and just wanted to make sure there wasnt anything to worry about.
