What is the difference with head sizes 5.3, 5.7, etc....

What is the difference with head sizes 5.3, 5.7, etc.... what is the difference between 5.3, 5.7, 6.0 etc. ls1 heads. Is the size of the heads and chamber cc volume different or what ? im curious becuase i just bought some tea stage II's for 1300 with pushrods and am seeing all these diff numbers. Should i keep looking if i want more power?
5.3 heads raise compresion ratio "smaller combustion chamber" More power N/A and on the juice. 6.0 lower compresion ratio "bigger combustion chamber" Forced induction Or bigger cubed motors. Check out the sticky at top of page for exact #s.some one correct me if I'm wrong.
