Default installing cam

Ok I am getting ready to slap in my f-11 cam. Do in need to install the timing dot to dot? I am still wating on my 5.3 heads.

I know how to install the timing, I guess I wasnt clear on what I was wanting to know.
People running the f-11 cam should I install the cam dot to dot or should I advance or retard the timing any ?

Install dot to dot and then use LS1 - edit to advance timing and lean or faten it up.

i would say dot to dot as well! then you can just adjust as much as you want really when you get it tuned

Cam timing cant be changed by tuning. It is the mechanical relation of the cam to the crank.
It will need to be dot to dot with the stock chain. If you have an aftermarket adjustable the instructions for that will let you know how to set it up.
As for that cam I cant help on whether to set it up advanced or retarded but im sure someone that has that cam can tell you how it will perform set up either way.
