I know I have heard you should match the stall size to the cam size but I put the cart before the horse and got a Vig 3200 stall in my '01. Sooooo, what would be a good size cam that I can get that would maintain some form of streetability but also give me some good numbers. I'm not incredibly worried about street manners but I don't want anything crazy either.

I have a similar converter (Yank 3200) in my '00 C5 and love it. As far as a cam goes, I think you would be wise to check with Futral, TSP,Thunder Racing, Comp, Crane or LG motorsports. I would think that with this converter, and with you not being "terribly" concerned with streetability, a cam on the order of say .570-,600 lift with around 228 to 232 degrees of duration @ ,050 lift would be a real good choice. Depending on where you live (Emissions checks) a 114 Lobe separation angle would probably be best, as it passes a sniffer better than a 112 separation would and idles a little better, at the small sacrifice of mid range torque. Check out a post by JRP, who has an excellent guide on the forum here. Good luck, especially with traction!!

Your Vig really stalls closer to the 3600-3800 range. That means you can go pretty aggressive on the cam choice. My two favorites are the Futral F-11 and the MTI G1. They'll work great with your stall.

Thanks guys. The car is my daily driver for right now but I can handle driving it without it having complete "street manners".
