Re: More low end torque on an LS1 My LS1 car with 4.11s has a lot more off the line than my old LT1 car with stock gears. Also, the 2001 & 2002 LS1s come with the truck cam in them from the factory; that will give you a lot of low end. I'll bet you could pick up one of those real cheap from someone that upgraded to a TR224!

Re: More low end torque on an LS1 ..it's not how fast you go, but how fast you go fast. Gears will do it, and so will a cam full of low end torque. I like the 4.10's with the manual. Or you can get a 400 SBC and have 400+ lbs. @ 2200.

Im a daily driver and a little loss is expected for performance, right now im averaging 240 miles (Tampa Bay Traffic) with only a Magnaflow Exhaust and a M6. What are some of you MPG and tank averages with the gears and modifications??
Re: More low end torque on an LS1 I went from the stock 3.42s to 4.11s on a M6 and coudn't tell a bit of difference in MPG. You just shift sooner if not trying to accelerate hard. My combined city/highway was 21 mpg before and still is now.
Re: More low end torque on an LS1 BTW, an idea I don't think has been mentioned yet is a blower will give you more low end torque also. Results are pretty dramatic in the cars I've driven but these units are pricey! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
