Are gen 3 LS1 engine gaskets reusable?
I've been getting lots of mixed messages on this subject. Does anyone know for sure wether you can re-use them or not?
They over $700 cad if I have to buy all of them again.
What about the knock sensors? Can those be re-used?

I bought new intake, front and rear covers, exhaust and oil pan gasket on my latest rebuild. As well as front and rear seals, pilot bearing, oilpump o-ring, oil pressure sending unit and LS6 valley cover. All for only $200 ( sale at Freb Beans GM dealer ).
I decided those needed replaced on my 60K old gaskets. The seals need replaced anyway, my intake gaskets looked crappy, same with pilot bearing and oilpump o-ring. I did the infamous break off of the oil pressure sending unit, and the valley cover is for my new LS6 shortblock. FWIW, I read the same as everyone else; they are reuseable. But for piece of mind and $80, I figured why not on the new gaskets. Oh yeah, the 98 waterpumps need new gaskets if they are not the metal with orange.
