Ive got a 99 C5 getting an iron block 370 11:1 cr. Its got Stg III LS6 heads, cam is 242/246 609/613 112. LS6 intake, Kooks longtubes, Spec 4. We have the motor on the floor in the shop now, just waiting on the longtubes and clutch (and some money from the customer ). Sorry i dont have any hard data for you yet, but as soon as we get it in and tuned i will let you know. Shooting for 500 rwhp on motor, and a 150 shot on top of that. By the way, Force Fed High Performance built it for us. Can't comment on the power output yet obviously, but their customer service has been beyond reproach.

Mine was built usind Diamond pistons and Lunati Pro Mod rods. Compression is 10.5. Cam is LG Motorsports G5-X2. Heads are heavy ported LS6. My car is very heavy due to the iron block, a six point cage, and some heavy suspension pieces. No weight has been removed from the car. Race weight with my fat *** in the car is about 4000 pounds. Transmission is an A4 with a Vig 3200 stall convertor. The car is my daily driver. The best na dyno run has been 435 rwhp. Best na time has been 7.33 at 94.44 mph with a 1.62 60' time. With a little nitrous she goes 6.7s at 104.53 mph. The engine now has about 20,000 miles on it with no problems.

I might build a 370 but the 402 LS2 is looking better everyday.

I would like an alum 6.0- too but that knock sensor thing has not been resolved yet (AFAIK). So iron is the way to go or Darton sleeves.

I've had an iron block in my car for quite a while now, and in between rain storms (yes, literally) it ran 7.46 @ 96 MPH in the 1/8th, relatively soft launch (1.65 sixty) to avoid slipping around on the track. They actually restricted us to 1/8th mile because of standing water past the shutdown area of the 1/4 mile! Race weight was 3720lbs.

I'm entertaining selling part or all of the setup. I want to go stroker

Motor is assembled as follows:
6L iron, bored to 4.030"
JE forged pistons, flat tops .012" out of the hole, 2cc reliefs
Lunati 4340 Forged H-beam rods
Stock crank, turned .010"
ARP rod bolts, ARP studded mains, ARP studded heads.
238/240 .605/.609 112+2 camshaft. Nice lope, but perfectly stable idle @ 900 RPM.
806 (1998 LS1) heads, stage 2 ported, 2.02/1.575 Manley valves, 26918 springs. Stock rockers, 7.350" pushrods, Comp "R" lifters.
Fel Pro 1041 .041" head gaskets
LS6 intake, FMS 30lb. injectors
