Default Anyone ever break a stock head-bolt ???

*Cross-posted from Truck V8 Performance*

I'm going to use ARP Head-Studs for my heads/cam install just for peace of mind but.......I was wondering if anyone had ever broken a stock head bolt during the torque/twist procudure that is used on the stock head bolts during install, it seems that 150º of rotation after an initial torque of 22 ft/lbs is ALOT of twist on a bolt

I for one was really careful on the torquing procedures, but the bolts took it! It took two guys on a 3 foot breaker bar to get the full rotation. I think as long as the torque is applied slowly they stretch fine....

150 dude 150 is only for the 2 outside ones the middle ones have to go to 180 degress with the toque angle metter so i'll say they pretty damn strong, 180 degres you gotta put some muscle into that or use a pretty big wrench.
