Does anyone know of any websites that can educate me on the internal workings of an LS1?? Some of you guys really know your sh*t when it comes to engines and i would like to know where you got all that information from?? If its from books, where did you get them? I just want to better myself when it comes to knowing what's going on under my hood? I floated a vale, broke a spring/rocker arm, or something in that nature and dont want to take it to someone else to fix it. A good website for basic information is howstuffworks.com
Then go to AutoStuff > Under the Hood

If you are going to be working on your engine you will need the service manuals.

I bought the shop manual for a 1999 Trans Am but the reading is complex, hopefully there are some books or more websites out there that will help. I guess i picked a pretty complicated engine to learn on but thats the price for performance!! I will be out of the country for a few more months so i have plenty of time before i get home and start the work.
