Default to much oil pressure?

is there such thing as to much oil pressure?

my car runs about 50psi at idle and upward of 80psi while driving... not running it hard. no clue what it has when its "up there" as i'm to worried about counter-steering

is this normal or should i be worried? stock 2000 pump in there

I normally get 45-50 @ idle, 60ish while cruising, then about 70 or so when @ WOT.

its been cold here this past week(in the 20's) during warm weather mine cruises like what you said, but since hes up in IL i figured it was probably cold there too. it also depends on what oil you run.
