i want 500 rwhp without ironlungs, or a choppy lope. i want power to the ground, and lose the fillings in my teeth. No choppy lope at all. What do i need. I have a 6.0 l block with no over bore right now, (came straight out of a truck).

Unless nitrous is on your list of acceptable substances, it probably isn't going to happen. Even with a big inch motor, a lot of cam is needed to get to 500 RWHP, which means a noticeable lope at idle.

You'd have to build the biggest cube motor you can, and then put the smallest cam in it that you can get 500rwhp with. Something like an ARE 436 or whatever the biggest they have, but with a 222-226 or so cam. High LSA would be necessary, 114 at a minimum, maybe 115 or 116 even. All the bolt ons and you could probably do it.
It might be a better idea to build a forged bottom end for that 6.0L and run a good supercharger/turbo setup on it, and make 500rwhp (or more) with a stock idle and quiet exhaust.
To build big power N/A engines, you pretty much need either big cubes or big cams (both is better <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> )

You just need a 4.155" bore and a 4.25" stroke. Some modifications may be needed to make that crank work but it has been done before.

Theory is fine, but I have not seen 500 NA RWHP without a lot cam to go with the cubes. My Cartek 427 made 528 with their most radical cam, which is actually pretty streetable, but does give that pro stock idle. Which, by the way, I like.
As for 460 inches, has such a creation actually been built?
