Advice for solid rebuild. Bottom line is, I want to re-ring my engine since it is burning oil.
What components are proven as far as bearings, pistons, and rings? Are the GM LS6 rings a good way to go? There seem to be many options.
I plan on keeping the same displacement, maybe lowing the CR to get ready for a turbo setup... Any advice would be great.

Honing the block to 3.905? I think people have had luck with most of the major names. It probably comes down to personal preference. I have heard a couple people posting as being extremely happy with the ebay MAHLE pistons, which are pretty cheap.
