Default Foam Pads on bottom of intake manifold?

im swapping from my ls6 to a fast 90mm intake and in the directions i see nothing about the foam pads like on the bottom of the stock ls6 intake, are you supposed to use them with the fast or what.....

another question....the bolts that they give you for the actual intake to heads are noticeably shorter than the stockers should i use them or the stockers, thanks guys

It's not required but is recommended IMO, some have experienced a sort of whistling or hollow sound/drone type of noise and it has been attributed to the lack of foam pads under the FAST intakes. I'd add it.

It's simple enough. For the time and effort it would take, why risk it?

I had a couple pieces of old foam in the shed that I used. I also used the FAST supplied bolts. Make sure you have the supplied washers on there also or the intake will crack. Don't forget about the 3 small bolts at the front and the 3 at the back of the intake either, and use some locktite on those. Torque the long bolts in sequence per the instructions to 30 inch lbs, then 50 inch lbs. Then do the small bolts the same.
